We currently have vacancies as indicated below:

NEW OPPORTUNITIES AT HENLEY TOWN COUNCIL

CARETAKER/CONCIERGE – 40 hours per month – flexible hours. £21,693 full time equivalent (£5411 pa actual). We need a diligent, practical handy person who takes pride in their work to care for the Town Hall; Kings Arms Barn and Old Fire Station Gallery. Some cleaning, locking and unlocking plus working with the Events Team.  Mostly weekend and evening work.  Will be required to deputise for the Town Sergeant. The full time equivalent for this post will rise to £22,462 from 1 April 2019.

PARKING SUPERINTENDENT

Full time shifts (37 hours) £19,819 basic – £20,344 from 01 April 2019 - income potential in excess of £30,000 (optional overtime)

We are seeking an organized and enthusiastic individual to lead a small Parking team to enforce the waiting/loading and permitted parking regulations throughout Henley-on-Thames. The work involves all aspects of the parking schemes including residential permits and “Pay and Display” controlled areas.

Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Experience of staff management along with a knowledge of relevant health and safety standards to protect pedestrians and risk assessments regarding dangerous parking is preferred. You will represent both the Town Council and County Council – so the ability to provide advice and information relating to the parking services is desired to promote a good working relationship with residents and visitors.

The successful applicant will be based in Henley Town Hall but must be prepared to work outdoors in all weathers. Must be able to use a computer; send emails; use a smart phone and make occasional appearances at Court. A uniform will be provided.
