Salary £22,658 - £26,822 (pay award pending)

We are seeking a hard-working and self-motivated person to assist in the practical management of our parks and open spaces. Horticultural experience and grounds maintenance in our parks is essential. You will also play a key role in our exciting Conservation programme.
Ideal candidates will be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 or higher in related disciplines such as Horticulture, Arboriculture and Countryside Management.
The Parks Team are the face of the Town Council in the community and help care for our riverside meadows, car parks, moorings, playgrounds, variety of planting, woodland cemetery, trees, hedges and more. Parks work closely with the Town Hall staff to help run community festivals and events such as the Christmas Festival, May Fayre and regular band concerts throughout the summer. The Town Council also runs a number of exciting conservation initiatives and hopes to expand this programme.
